Is it possible to overcome the block that sony have put on preventing the export of the blu-ray display from the computer. I assume they have done this to maximise sales of blu-ray players. I do not have any problem using the tv as a second monitor, it just won’t take the blu-ray signal. I would be very grateful for any help with this.

Sony TV works fine except the sound is out of sync on only two channels. The TVs upstairs do not have the problem.
At first I thought it was the cable, but that doesn’t make sense.
I’ve never heard of this problem and was wondering if anyone else had ever experienced it.
I don’t see how it could be the TV station because upstairs I have two other televisions and I don’t have the problem there. I found another cable station that has the problem as well.

I was recently given a really old tv that won’t pick up more than two of our local cable stations. There aren’t any buttons to program more in and we no longer have a remote, is there any hope? If I buy a vcr to plug into it I’m sure I can make it work but that seems like a waste.
