What’s the best way to watch downloaded videos on a plasma tv?
gchuva asked:
When I download an AVI video, and then upload it to a 50 inch plasma, I find the picture quality quite poor. Is there a way to improve that, or is the problem that the screen is too big. Is there a different type of file or codec I could download?
In that case, what video files should I download?

Does anybody have any idea how to fix a scratch in my lcd tv?
gunnerandy28 asked:
I recently bought a 32″ lcd tv for the living room. Despite constant reminders to my girlfriend to keep our 3 year old away from it, I returned home from work this evening to find a 6″ scratch right down the middle of the screen. Apparently it got there all by itself. Can anyone help me in getting rid of this. Its not really noticeable when watching tv but it still bugs me. So if anyone has any remedies or can point me in the direction of a company that specialises in this in the Hull area, please help. Cheers.

Does anyone know how to stop a tv from searching for channels?
LivingH20 asked:
I accidentally sat on my remote, and now all my tv will do is search for channels and then tell me to hook up cable, and press menu. I cant get any other buttons to work. I’ve tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in, but that’s all it will do. I dont have channels hooked up to it, i never have. Just a dvd player. The tv is a Sanyo, probably about 5 yrs old. Can anyone help me with this?
i checked the back……it was manufactured in Feb 2003, model number DS27820
This is the television in my bedroom, that’s why there’s no channels

Is it ba for my Plasma TV if i turn it completely off instead of switching to standby?
londres2424 asked:
As putting yout TV on standby still consumes some energy, I bought an extra socket, so I can turn the TV’s power completely off.( The TV itself can only be put on standby, but not completely off. )
Now is it bad for my Plasma TV (42 inches) if I turn the power compeltely off at night, instead of putting it on standby?

What would be a better conversion to display a computer on a 42 inch plasma TV?
Marshall T asked:
I was just wondering what would be a better conversion to display a desktop computer on a 42 inch plasma TV? DVI to HDMI or DVI to VGA (PC input)? The computer I’m looking at purchasing has only a DVI output but my TV has S-Video, component, VGA, and HDMI inputs. Which conversion would be the best?
