PLASMA BURN IN: does horizontal black bars found on some ultra widescreen DVDs affect plasma TV?
I am planning to buy a PHILIPS 42 PF9630 Ambilight plasma TV. Everyone says you must avoid static pictures or vertical black bars from 4:3 video in a 16:9 plasma to prevent BURN IN. But, what happens with black bars that appear in many “ultra wide” 16:9 DVDs? Do they burn onto de display? Or this model “recognize” this type of black bars? Thanks.

What is the best swivel wall mount for a LCD TV?
I have a 32 inch Samsung LCD Flat Screen TV. I would like a swivel arm mount but do not know which one to buy. I am looking for good quality and a low price (there’s a lot of choices on Pricegrabber, but I don’t know which one’s are compatible). With a swivel arm mount, is the LCD TV still flush with the wall? Or does it stick out a bit since the arms don’t fold in on themselves? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

How long before image is burned into plasma tv?
I’m in Europe, and I have a 50″ plasma tv by LG. You frequently hear warnings that you should not leave a movie paused for a long period of time, because the image can get permanently burnt into the screen.
How long before that could happen? Also, is the default splash screen which appears when you stop a movie (the various shades of blue and white) less likely to get burnt in permanently?

What is the issue with my plasma TV sound?
I have a panasonic plasma tv that I purchased about two years ago.
Just the other day the sound began to fade. You can still hear it (with the volume turned all the way up), but there is obviously something wrong.
It goes from very quiet to blaring loud without anyone touching the volume button.
This has progressively gotten worse. Any thoughts on what it may be or how I fix it would certainly be appreciated.
