How are TV commercials supposed to show me how nice a picture they make?
egy_allat asked:
I have a pretty bad 30″ cathode ray TV, the screen is not even flat! How can TV manufacturers convince me that their screens have perfect detail etc if all I can see in their commercials is my TV quality?

In other words, what’s the point of those commercials?
Hopefully my question makes some sense.
BTW somehow they *do* make their pictures look pretty. I was wondering about this also…

How do you get your tv’s programming to be played in English?
brownidgurl asked:
My friend recently bought a it’s a sony trinitron WEGA SDTV flat-screen tv, 2006 model television off Craig’s List from a Hispanic couple. The tv on certain shows reverts back to the Spanish mode. She keeps setting it back to English, however it keeps doing it. Anyone have any suggestions?

How do i play a movie from my pc on a tv?
lemonzephyr7 asked:
I am trying to watch a movie on my tv that is stored on my pc. I do not have a DVD burner but I do have a CD burner. The movie has already been converted to DiVX but is still too large to fit on a CD-R. I have an S-Video output on my PC and an S-Video input on my TV. While setting up the movie I can see my desktop on the TV so I know it’s working. Once I start the movie I can see the movie on my PC but not on my TV, but I can still see my desktop elements on the TV. It is my guess that the video is playing back at over 450 lines of resolution which my PC can display with no problem but my TV can’t. How do I drop the resolution of the video down to 450 lines to show on my TV?
